We have created a glorious history through united efforts, and we must also rely on united efforts to chart a bright future. The united front is born out of unity and thrives through unity. It has always been under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, uniting all forces that can be united around the Party's central tasks. On the new journey, the united front should continue to play its political role of rallying hearts and gathering strength, firmly grasping the requirements of the times for unity and struggle, seeking the greatest common denominator, and drawing the largest concentric circle.

1、Recognize the historical context, and profoundly understand the significant importance of unity and hard work.

At present, our country is at a crucial stage in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. As the saying goes, "If one has covered a hundred miles, he has only reached ninety percent of the way. The closer one gets to the goal, the more one needs to maintain the same level of diligence and perseverance." The more arduous the tasks and the more severe the challenges, the more we need all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation to unite even more closely and strive even more vigorously.

Unite and strive hard is an inevitable requirement for achieving the grand and ambitious goals set out in the blueprint on schedule. Realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the unwavering pursuit of our Party and also the greatest dream of the Chinese people since modern times. Chinese-style modernization is a common cause for all the people of China. It is also a grand undertaking fraught with risks and challenges, requiring arduous efforts. Especially at this critical juncture when we are "halfway up the mountain and in the middle of the river", any sense of complacency, thoughts of complacency and slackness, or behaviors of giving up, could potentially hinder the continuous progress of our cause. Therefore, all the people of China need to have even stronger willpower and a more unified pace.

Uniting efforts is an inevitable requirement for successfully completing the arduous and heavy reform tasks. As the most grand and unique practical innovation in human history, China's modernization has accumulated rich experience and formed regular understandings. However, there are still a large number of reform challenges, development issues, and conflicts that need to be resolved. The tasks are extremely arduous and the difficulties are unprecedented. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China scientifically planned the overall deployment for further comprehensive deepening of reforms in line with China's modernization, and clearly proposed over 300 important reform measures. None of these tasks can be accomplished easily. At the same time, as the comprehensive deepening of reforms progresses deeper and enters the攻坚period and the deep water zone， the conflicts of interests touched upon become more complex and acute. Only when 1.4 billion Chinese people unite as one， understand reform， support reform， and participate in reform， can we overcome various obstacles and ensure the successful completion of the reform tasks.

National unity is the lifeline of all ethnic groups in our country, and the sense of the Chinese nation community is the foundation of national unity. In 1951, the people of all ethnic groups in Pu'er Prefecture, Yunnan Province held a pledge assembly, inscribing pledges on a monument based on the customs and traditions of the ethnic minorities, expressing their determination to "unite with one heart and one mind, to the end, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and to strive for the construction of an equal, free and happy big family!" Uniting and striving together is an inevitable requirement for properly responding to the unprecedentedly complex situation. Currently, China's development has entered a period where both strategic opportunities and risks and challenges coexist, with an increase in unpredictable and unforeseeable factors. The risks and challenges that need to be addressed, as well as the contradictions and problems that need to be prevented and resolved, are more severe and complex than ever before. At the same time, the acceleration of the transformation of the century's upheaval is leading to an intensification of global issues, with escalating external pressure and containment. In particular, some countries do not want China to become powerful and are frequently manipulating issues such as ethnicity, religion, Tibet, and Xinjiang, disrupting the great unity of Chinese people at home and abroad, and delaying or even blocking the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Under such circumstances, only by uniting hearts, pooling wisdom, and gathering strength can we effectively respond to major challenges, resist major risks, overcome major obstacles, and resolve major contradictions, and continuously enhance the security and stability of development, as well as the survival, competitiveness, development, and sustainability of our country.

2、Adhere to the principle position and always maintain the correct direction of unity and hard work.

Unity and hard work are the most distinctive spiritual characteristics of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people. The 100-year history of the Communist Party of China is a history of the Party leading the people in unity and striving. Without unified and concerted efforts, it would be like a loose collection of individuals; without principles, such efforts would inevitably lead to losing direction. The Party has always been the most reliable backbone for all the people. Unity and hard work mean that under the leadership of the Party, all people should think together, plan together, and work together, jointly striving to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Firmly upholding the Party's overall leadership serves as the fundamental guarantee for our unity and hard work. Over the past 100 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, we have transformed from fragmentation to national unity, from being bullied to independence and self-reliance, and from poverty and backwardness to prosperity and strength. The Chinese nation has achieved a great leap from standing up, to becoming prosperous, to growing strong. History and practice have fully demonstrated that the leadership of the Party is the foundation and lifeline of the Party and the country, as well as the interest and destiny of all ethnic groups across the country. Only by upholding the comprehensive leadership of the Party can the entire Party and the people of all ethnic groups unite into a "hard and strong steel", and be able to effectively respond to and overcome various risks and challenges on the path forward. The united front is the united front led by the Party, and the Party's leadership is the fundamental guarantee for the united front to unite and rally people. We must unwaveringly uphold the Party's overall leadership, especially the centralized and unified leadership of the Central Committee. We should guide the members of the united front to deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two affirmations", resolutely implement the "two upholds", align their thoughts and actions with the major decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and ensure that we have a strong political cohesion for united and concerted efforts, and gather the powerful momentum of forging ahead without hesitation.

Make the deepening of the Party's innovative theoretical education the ideological foundation for unity and struggle. This important thought scientifically answered the questions of China, the world, the people and the times. It put forward a series of significant propositions with contemporary characteristics, creativity and strategic significance, providing fundamental guidance and action principles for the construction of a powerful country and the rejuvenation of the nation.

Make centering on serving the overall situation the guiding principle for unity and striving. The unity formed based on clearly defined goals is the most solid unity, and the struggle carried out relying on close unity is the most powerful struggle. Our Party has always taken the center and overall situation as the guiding principle for leading the people to unite and strive, uniting hundreds of millions of people's hearts, gathering strong forces, and achieving victory after victory. The central task of the Party and the state is also the common goal of the united struggle of the united front. During the New Democratic Revolution period, the united front focused on the mission and task of "opposing imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucratic capitalism, and striving for national independence and people's liberation", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to fight bravely and unyieldingly. During the period of socialist revolution and construction, the united front focused on the need to "achieve the transition from New Democracy to socialism, carry out socialist revolution, and promote socialist construction", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to pioneer and contribute. In the new era of reform and socialist modernization, the united front has always closely focused on the main task of "liberating and developing social productive forces, enabling the people to get rid of poverty and become prosperous as soon as possible", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to strive bravely and innovate. Entering the new era, the united front firmly grasps the main task of "achieving the first centenary goal and initiating the new journey to achieve the second centenary goal", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to unite and move forward under the Party's goal, and continuously making new contributions to creating new situations for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Practice has proved that the higher the degree of consistency, the stronger the foundation of unity of the united front will be; on the basis of continuously consolidating consistency, the wider the range of diversity, the more powerful the unity of the united front will be, and our cause will be more invincible. We must not only hold fast to the political bottom line as the center, constantly consolidate the common ideological foundation, including consolidating existing consensus and promoting the formation of new consensus; but also expand the radius of inclusiveness of diversity, adhere to seeking common ground while reserving differences, seek consistency in respecting the diversity of interests, thoughts, and ideas, and strive to find the greatest common divisor and draw the largest concentric circle. At the same time, we should unify unity and struggle, carry forward the fine tradition of "unity - criticism - unity", be firm and resolute on principles that are of great significance, be clear and resolute in opposing all erroneous words and deeds that undermine unity and unity, and strive to form an unbreakable true unity and stimulate the intense and resolute struggle. In the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization construction, the united front has always focused on the main task of "liberating and developing social productive forces, enabling the people to get rid of poverty and become prosperous as soon as possible", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to strive bravely and innovate and create. Entering the new era, the united front firmly grasps the main task of "achieving the first centenary goal and initiating the new journey of achieving the second centenary goal", mobilizing and uniting the sons and daughters of China to move forward under the goal of the Party, constantly making new contributions to creating new situations for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

3、Focus on the key points and continuously gather the powerful synergy of unity and hard work.

The united front is an important tool for uniting all Chinese people at home and abroad to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. On the new journey, the united front shoulders the historical responsibility of promoting the great unity of the Chinese people. It is necessary to widely win over hearts and gather consensus, unite all Chinese people of different political parties, ethnic groups, social strata, groups, beliefs, and those living under different social systems, and jointly contribute to the cause of national prosperity.

Bijie, Guizhou Province, was once a typical impoverished area in the western region. During the construction and development of the Bijie Experimental Zone, the united front participated extensively and provided substantial assistance, making significant contributions. We should strive to promote harmonious relations among political parties and fully leverage the advantages of China's new political party system. The system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation led by the Communist Party of China, as a fundamental political system of our country, is a great political creation by the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people, and various political parties and non-party individuals. It is a new political party system that grows naturally from the Chinese soil. We should strive to promote harmonious relations among ethnic groups and further advance the construction of the Chinese nation community. Ethnic unity is the lifeline of all ethnic groups in our country, and the sense of the Chinese nation community is the foundation of ethnic unity. We should regard consolidating the sense of the Chinese nation community as the main thread of the Party's ethnic work in the new era and all ethnic-related work, adhere to and improve the system of regional ethnic autonomy, continuously deepen the creation of ethnic unity and progress, guide all ethnic groups to firmly establish the concept of a community where they share weal and woe, honor and disgrace, life and death, and destiny, and constantly consolidate the common ideological and political foundation for the joint efforts of all ethnic groups. We should strive to build a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation, guided by socialist core values, deepen the education of patriotism, collectivism, and socialism, guide all ethnic groups to establish a correct view of Chinese history, enhance their identification with the great motherland, the Chinese nation, Chinese culture, the Communist Party of China, and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and provide strong spiritual and cultural support for the construction of the Chinese nation community. We should promote common prosperity among all ethnic groups, accelerate the high-quality development of ethnic regions, support ethnic regions in accelerating their integration into the national development大局， and promote greater economic integration and unity among all regions. We should actively promote exchanges， interactions， and integration among all ethnic groups， build an interwoven social structure and community environment， orderly promote population mobility and integration among all ethnic groups， and promote all ethnic groups to be closely united like pomegranate seeds. We should govern ethnic affairs in accordance with the law， gradually improve relevant laws and regulations and differentiated regional support policies， protect the legitimate rights and interests of all ethnic groups in accordance with the law， and guide all ethnic groups to enhance their national consciousness， citizen consciousness， and legal consciousness. This system brings together all political parties and non-party individuals closely together and strives for common goals， effectively avoiding vicious competition， political polarization， and social fragmentation. We should develop， improve， and perfect China's new political party system well， enhance confidence in the system， improve its effectiveness， and leverage its advantages. Support all democratic parties and non-party individuals in strengthening their own construction, enhancing their ability to perform their duties, and consciously play a role in accordance with the overall situation of the country's and the Party's work. In the process of participating in political deliberations and offering advice, they should pool collective wisdom; in democratic supervision, they should offer candid opinions; in party consultations, they should propose valuable suggestions; and in social services, they should take practical actions. They should do more work to strengthen confidence, gather public support, warm people's hearts, and build unity. Truly transform all the positive factors from various sectors into development achievements.

We should strive to promote harmonious religious relations and actively guide religions to adapt to socialist society. Over a long period of time, our Party has properly handled various relationships such as those between the government and religions, between society and religions, among different religions within China, between Chinese religions and foreign religions, and between religious believers and non-believers. This has resulted in positive and healthy religious relations and achieved harmony and stability in the religious field. Practice has proved that actively guiding religions to adapt to socialist society is the key to guiding religious figures and believers to unite and strive. We must fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the theories and policies on religious work of the new era of the Communist Party of China. We should not only protect the freedom of religious belief of believers, but also maximize the unity of believers. We should also guide believers and non-believers to respect each other and live in harmony. We should further promote the Sinicization of religions in our country, guide and support religions to be led by the socialist core values, enhance the "five identities" of religious figures and believers, and guide them to consciously safeguard national unity, ethnic solidarity, social stability, and serve the highest interests of the country and the overall interests of the Chinese nation. We should comprehensively promote the legal construction of religious work, carry out extensive legal education and publicity, support religious circles to strictly govern their affairs, lead by example in abiding by laws and regulations, and enhance religious cultivation. We should strengthen the awareness of religious figures and believers to study law, abide by law, and use law, and maintain normal order in the religious field and social harmony and stability.

We should strive to promote harmonious relations among different social strata and continuously stimulate the vitality of innovation and creation. With the development of the economy and society, China's social structure has undergone profound changes, and new social strata and groups are constantly emerging. To closely unite them around the Party and leverage their wisdom and talents is a practical issue that must be properly handled in the new situation to consolidate the Party's governance foundation. We must adhere to the Party's mass line, take consensus-building as the fundamental goal, aim at patriotic and striving endeavors, constantly innovate in thinking, policies, measures, and methods, and enhance the centripetal force of all social strata and groups towards the Party. We should adhere to political guidance, values guidance, and cause guidance, enhance the targeted and effective nature of the unity and guidance of non-Party intellectuals, encourage and support non-Party intellectuals to contribute to their work and strive at the frontlines. We should adhere to the thinking of trust, respect, unity and guidance, organization and role play, and exert their functions. Unite the new social strata, give full play to the positive role of mass organizations, social organizations, professional organizations, and various new social strata friendship organizations, strengthen the function of ideological and political guidance, and guide the new social strata to better display their talents and aspirations in promoting China's modernization. Adhere to the "two unshakable principles" and promote the "two health conditions", conduct in-depth education on ideals and beliefs and socialist core values among private businesspeople, help them deeply understand and implement the basic policies and guidelines of the Party and the state for the development of private enterprises, practice the new development concepts, firmly believe in development confidence, carry forward the spirit of entrepreneurs, actively fulfill social responsibilities, and firmly be builders of socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoters of China's modernization.

We should strive to promote harmonious relations among compatriots at home and abroad, and unite and inspire them to jointly realize the Chinese Dream. The vast number of compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese are all blood-related sons and daughters of the Chinese nation. Doing a good job in working with them is of great significance for maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao, promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, uniting all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation to jointly strive for realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We must uphold and improve the "one country, two systems" institutional framework, firmly implement the principles of "patriots governing Hong Kong" and "patriots governing Macao", develop the forces that love Hong Kong and Macao and love the motherland, and form a broader united front of domestic and international support for "one country, two systems". We must implement the overall strategy of the Party for resolving the Taiwan issue in the new era, firmly support the patriotic forces on the island, continuously promote anti-"Taiwan independence" and promote reunification, and unswervingly advance the great cause of national reunification. We should leverage the role of overseas united front work in winning people's hearts, improve laws and regulations and policies related to overseas Chinese, deepen services for overseas Chinese, encourage and support overseas Chinese to actively participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and major national development strategies, strengthen the construction of overseas patriotic forces, "use overseas Chinese as a bridge" to tell the story of China, promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture, facilitate exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign cultures and civilizations, guide overseas Chinese to jointly strive for the great rejuvenation of the nation and share the glory of the great rejuvenation of the nation, and create even greater achievements together.
