On April 24th, the 30th biweekly consultation symposium of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in Beijing, presided over by Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.   The People's Political Consultative Conference should study and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on religious work and the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of political discussions and suggestions.

It is necessary to strengthen the research on key issues in the field of religious affairs governance, and put forward practical and useful opinions and suggestions through proposals, speeches at conferences, inspections and investigations, etc. Members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from the religious community should promote the implementation of policies and measures for the rule of law in religious affairs governance, advance comprehensive and strict governance of religion, further improve internal rules and regulations, actively publicize the Party and state's policies and guidelines as well as laws and regulations on religious work, and guide religious figures and believers to enhance their national awareness, civic awareness and legal awareness, and voluntarily carry out activities within the scope stipulated by the Constitution and laws. We should enhance international exchanges in the religious field by participating in relevant activities such as the World Organization for Religious Peace and the Asian Conference on Religious Peace, and tell the stories of Chinese religions well.
