On June 2, 2026, the opening ceremony of the International Taoist Culture Training Program of the World Taoist Federation (the second session) was held at the Taoist Academy of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province. Fifty trainees from eight countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, the United States, and Mexico gathered in Danjiangkou to jointly embark on the journey of studying Taoist culture.
Representatives from the Central United Front Work Department, Jiang Huafu, the Second-Level Inspector of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Hubei Province, Zhang Huansheng, the Secretary of the United Front Work Department and Vice Mayor of Shiyan City, Li Guangfu, the President of the World Taoist Association and the President of the Chinese Taoist Association, Liu Wenguo, the Vice President of the Hubei Taoist Association and the President of the Wudang Mountain Taoist Association, and Hervé Louchouarn, the Vice President of the World Taoist Association and the President of the Mexican Taoist Association, all attended the opening ceremony. The relevant department heads from Hubei Province, Shiyan City, Danjiangkou City and Wudang Mountain Special Zone participated in the event. Fuganwen, the Vice President in Office of the Chinese Taoist Association, presided over the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, Li Guangfu, Jiang Huafu, Zhang Hengsheng, Liu Wenguo and Jing Wei delivered speeches. The representative of the trainees, Diego Sanmiquel, made a speech.
In his speech, President Li Guangfu pointed out that Taoist culture has a long history and the core concepts it advocates, such as "following the laws of nature" and "the greatest kindness is like water", are important components of China's excellent traditional culture and also spiritual wealth shared by all humanity. He encouraged the trainees to cherish the learning opportunities, study diligently and practice hard, to deeply understand the essence of Taoist culture, and after completing their studies, continue to be disseminators and practitioners of Taoist culture, so that more people can understand Taoism, love Taoism and benefit from it. He stated that the World Taoist Federation will continue to uphold the concept of "all Taoism in the world is one family", and continuously promote the transmission and development of Taoist culture worldwide.

This training session is jointly organized by the World Taoist Federation and the Chinese Taoist Association, and is co-organized by the Hubei Taoist Association and the Shiyan Taoist Association. It is hosted by the Taoist Association of Wudang Mountain and the Taoist Academy of Wudang Mountain. Based on the successful experience of the first training session in 2025, this training course has been further optimized. The core contents include Wudang Tai Chi, sacrificial rituals and Taoist health preservation. The aim is to further enhance the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture among the Taoist community abroad, cultivate international Taoist talents who are "proficient in classics, skilled in practice and good at dissemination", strengthen the global cohesion of the World Taoist Association, and promote the overseas dissemination of Taoist culture and exchanges and mutual learning of civilizations.
